CHILDREN ENGAGED IN ACADEMIC CURRICULUMS

Challenge

Despite the multiple efforts across all levels, the rate of children dropping-out of their academic curriculum is high. This is because of high rates of absenteeism of both the pupil and teachers coupled with inefficient cooperation from parents, owing to them not realizing the power of education, knowledge gap and inefficient teaching methods and lack of implementation of schooling policies. Thereby engagement of students to their courses has become a considerable problem.

STUDENTS NOT AT PAR WITH THEIR CURRICULUM

Resolution

We realized that grassroots level policies needed considerable changes and therefore cooperated with SMCs to change the way education was imparted in schools that we identified after considerable community and area based researches. We then collaborated with these schools (situated across both urban and rural locales) to provide more student engagement through contemporary innovative methods. We employed techniques like- attendance tracking, child development monitoring and problem detection. We then provide engaging content through neoteric techniques which involve usage of technology and relevant modus operandi for teaching. A major part of this programme involved backtracking and analysis, we therefore encourage community interaction and parent counselling sessions.

OFF THE GRID SCHOOLS

Impact

The in-school programme has successfully ameliorated the standards of education across school, collaborating for better conceptual understanding. More than 572 schools are actively being aided by our programmes. Children indoctrinated with our in-school programme showed better conceptual understanding, and were more perceiving of aptitude-based problems, were more confident and showed thorough understanding of the theories involved. When we began in these schools, many students were not prepared for the level of education imparted in their respective classes. This project enabled them to keep at par with their peers, by giving every child individual attention and monitoring.
