
Development of every child in the community is a derivative of the development of his community at large, equally true is the vice versa. However, communities with lack of social knowhow tend to falter since they are inapt at understanding natures of administrative dictums at large. Community awareness about crucial concepts is elementary to both setting a stage for every person to live a life of dignity to their actions being accountable to the greater spectrum of common good. Communities that lack the knowledge of social and environmental systems grow children who are incapable of understanding the same concepts.
In our attempt at making every community aware of their accountability to both their children and their immediate environment, we decided that the education that we impart be put to good use. Children are taught about the basic concepts of altruism and social accountability and are asked to hold programmes, exhibitions and functions in their community (giving our attempt a demography-oriented facilitation and our students the time to practically hone whatever they learn) thereby manifesting the same ideas to their own community at large. Local schools are encouraged to hold cultural festivals with social themes and/or volunteering exercises to exhibit to the rest of the community the importance of being socially responsible, and giving people from their immediate proximal environment, best practices to follow and go by.
With the awareness programmes, we look to establish stable ideologies on an intra-community level. Sociological thoughts like parity of genders to environmental issues like waste management is properly dealt with, along with the understanding of education and how it complies with the fundamental rights of children, are shared and talked about. Such active discourses only promote the necessity of education and help he community realise the importance of schooling their children thereby making their lives better. We have actively launched such exhibits or functions with the students we have catered to, thereby giving them a field to practice whatever they learn in their academics.
